The journalist tells us about the conditions in which a woman works and what she believes in. Yana has a pedagogical education, she is a teacher of Ukrainian and German languages and an administration manager. Before the full-scale invasion, Yana worked in a state structure, and was engaged in producing and sewing leather clothes and accessories, using hand stitching.<\/span><\/p>

At the beginning of 2014, Yana completed courses on providing first aid. Paramedics do not provide treatment. They provide assistance in emergency situations at the prehospital stage. Now a combat medic is a part of the team, goes into battle together with the group and must have general military training. If a medic does not know everything that a group of fighters can do, then it is simply a burden for the group, Yana says. General military training for frontline medics and paramedics is essential. The standard weight of the equipment is approximately 15 kg.<\/span><\/p>

Yana tells us about the most important event that happened to her during the war \u2013 marriage. She met her husband during her military service. This gives her strength and motivation. Now they serve in different units. They are in touch every day, and meet each other every month.<\/span><\/p>

Regarding emotions in war, the paramedic says that you can\u2019t give free rein to emotions. A wounded soldier needs to see a confident person saving him. Yana admits that she plans to visit a psychotherapist after returning home.<\/span><\/p>
